After rescuing Naginata (Rogue), the son of his former lover Rayzrr from an asylum, Archangel of RUBICON Nova decided to compare the 17 year-old's fighting skills to those of his deceased father in a battle before the entire RUBCION army.

What Nova discovers is that Rogue has not only surpassed his father's skill, but he is even stronger than Nova himself. After their battle, and Rogue is about to declare victory, the birthmark riddled teen collapses into his apponent's arms unexpectedly.

At the hospital it is discovered that the very ill Rogue has kept his sickness hidden from the Archangel in fear of rejection. Nova is devastated to learn that his birthmarks have turned to cancer, and that it is eating his body from the inside out.

Nova awaits young Rogue's awakening after extensive surgery to remove part of the cancerous growths, but instead of awakening, Rogue falls into a deep coma. Nova, who is known for showing little or no emotion, reaches his hand out and holds that of his soldier.

I wasn't originally going to color, or even submit this. I'm very fussy and timid about my hospital shots, and their accuracy.

You may also notice the medical equipment for RUBCION's hospitals/infirmaries are much more technologically advanced than those in the outter sanctions in Machinegun Angel. That is because they have direct supplies for their technology, and the best doctors to use them.
